Cienga-Santa Cruz Candidate Forum

The Ranch hosted a forum in October of 2008 allowing rural voters to meet candidates and address their questions and concerns. The friendly setting and down-home hospitality of the Ranch's staff provided a comfortable environment for all involved.

Folklorico 2008

The Ranch hosted the Santa Cruz County Community Foundation's Folklorico fundraiser in April with two hundred supporters attending. The Walker Ranch hands put on a classic rodeo for the crowd. The Global Communications Chorus from Tubac and the Titan Valley Warheads performed musical selections. Thanks to the volunteers this event was a success!

Empire Ranch Roundup Dinner

Ted and Jody sponsored the Cowboy Cuisine Dinner following the annual Roundup cooking rib eye steaks to order and serving local Arizona wines. Christopher Mitchum talked about classic-style western filmmaking--then, now and the future. Larry Dean played western music with Luke Halpin backing him up on fiddle. Earnings went towards preservation of the historic Empire Ranch.

Rotary Club Group Student Exchange

Rotary Study Exchange Team from Japan visits The Ranch. Hiroki Yamagishi, Yuya Miura, and Fumie Oshiyama enjoyed a cookout and rodeo at The Ranch on May 1st. They were visiting the area as part of the Rotary Club's Group Study Exchange sponsored by the Patagonia-Sonoita Rotary Club.
